Everyone loves a mystery…

ANCIENT AMERICAN MYSTERIES INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL welcomes directors, producers, artists technicians, and artists to Montrose, Iowa, in the USA, to present their fantastic stories, compete for awards in multiple categories, and grow their network.

This event will exhibit the best ancient mystery stories through documentaries, TV shows, streaming series, short movies, and narrative movies and series based on real ancient mysteries.

During the festival we offer workshops and debates, teaching the techniques and skills of movie-making. Producers, directors, and other professionals, in-person and online on the Metaverse will share their knowledge.

Local audiences and visitors will be able to watch the productions and interact with the participants of the festival. The event is a great opportunity for families to be entertained and learn together.

An iconic museum on the Mississippi River.

The festival takes place at THE PHOENICIAN SHIP MUSEUM, home of the only replica ship from 600 BC.

This ship sailed around Africa and crossed the Atlantic Ocean, proving that ancient mariners had the technology to arrive in the Americas, perhaps to the Mississippi River, thousands of years before the first Europeans.

Uniting the Legends

Every country has its own folklore, mysteries, and legends.

Every year we invite officially one country to exhibit films about their ancient mystery stories.

This allows the participants to experience and learn from other cultures, enabling the exchange of good ideas and practices, and presenting Montrose to the international filmmaking industry.
